“Grit and Grace in a World Gone Mad” Has Found a Home!

Talas group photo to be published in 2018

I am so pleased to announce that Grit and Grace in a World Gone: Humanitarianism in Talas, Turkey 1908-23 has found a home with a UK publisher. I sent the editor my book proposal with two sample chapters, and he said they were great. Now all I have to do is write 27 more, according to my outline, and maintain the same level of quality. No problem, she says wryly.

Seriously, there is so much work to do and I have created a tight goal for myself of completing the manuscript by April-May, and the rest of the book (index, acknowledgements, glossary, maps, etc.) by June. If I make it, the book should be in print by October 1, 2018.

I’m not going to reveal the name of the publisher until I’ve turned in the manuscript and all the details are finalized. Suffice it to say that I’m very pleased, and will be honoured to be an author in this publisher’s roster.

Because I must concentrate now on writing the book, I’m going to add very few posts to my blog in the next 10 months—perhaps one per month or so—just enough to keep you informed of the progress.

In the meantime, please don’t forget me. And please know how much I appreciate your support!!!

Thank you!
